Stories and ideas still make the world go round.

30,000 years ago man painted his story on his cave wall, now he posts it to his Facebook wall.

While technology has changed the human drive is the same. People are still engaged by telling their own story and learning other’s stories.

I have made a career of telling stories and getting people’s stories heard. As a journalists, film festival founder and event marketer I have been creating ways for compeling stories to be told. Now my focus is on helping organizations like BCIT, Canada Place and the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games be heard and hear in the age of the “social web”.

Just because you have a social media hammer it does not mean every problem is a social media nail. You need to have a complete tool box to find the right tool for the communications job. Live events, phone calls or even after all this time, writting on a wall can still be the best ways to get your story heard.
